Pittsburgh Mennonite Church has a beautiful facility that is available to the public for booking private events. A variety of room sizes and amenities provides the perfect fit for just about any gathering, from concerts to small committee meetings.
Our property is a smoke-free location. Alcohol is allowed on the premises. To keep rental prices affordable for all renters, tables and chairs are available for use without additional charge and we operate on a DIY setup model (setup and cleanup are always the responsibility of the person or group using the space).
Large Events (40-300 Attendees)
Sanctuary: Seats 300
Our sanctuary is surrounded by beautiful stained glass and is ideal for concerts, speakers, and wedding ceremonies. All Sanctuary rentals include the presence of an audio/video technician for the duration of the event.
Accessibility: A street-level entrance with a chairlift provides access to the Sanctuary.
Gathering Space: Seats 250
Our most requested space, the Gathering Space can be arranged for wedding receptions, staged performances, vendor fairs, or private parties. This space is attached to our main kitchen and an audio/video technician can be provided.
Accessibility: A ramped-entrance is accessible by the rear alley, adjacent to the parking lot.
Additional rooms can be added on to your event for breakout sessions, working groups, or kids activities. The Event Rental Coordinator will help you determine which spaces will best suit your specific needs.
Medium Events (10-50 Attendees)
Community Room: Seats 30 at Tables / 50 Auditorium-Style
Our Community Room is perfect for conversations and best suited for classes, board retreats, and committee meetings. The podium and rolling whiteboard are always available and a small kitchenette is attached for coffee service and meal staging. The room can be split in two with the built-in divider wall.
Accessibility: A street-level entrance with a chairlift provides access to the Community Room.
Library: Seats 8 at Table / 6 Additional
For intimate gatherings, bring your group to the table (or couch) in the Library. This space is best for team meetings, small committees, or personal space.
Accessibility: A street-level entrance provides access to the Library.
Our large kitchen is also available, either to rent on its own or to cook for your guests. Permits for transient caterers and cottage industry goods can be obtained from the Health Department by the person or group using the kitchen. We are not licensed as a commercial kitchen for temperature-controlled food sales; any licenses or permits are the responsibility of the renter.
